Tests revealed a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus in his left knee, leading Al-Hilal to explore the option of temporarily suspending his registration due to SPL rules allowing only eight non-Saudi players in the squad.
Neymar will likely be excluded until he recovers, allowing room for potential reinforcements, including a foreign left-back, in January.
