She shared her experience through an Instagram post, shedding light on her struggle with the throat infection and temporary voice loss.
In a viral video circulating on social media, the singer detailed how her doctors recommended surgery to prevent permanent voice loss as she worked on recording her second album, ‘Tears of the Sun,’ in July 2023.

Following repeated episodes of temporary voice loss, Teni was hospitalized in September 2023 and received multiple injections over five days to address her condition.
October 2023, she made a significant recovery in her singing voice without undergoing surgery. In November 2023, Teni confidently returned to the stage.
She expressed her gratitude to God for His mercy and grace through her new single, “Malaika,” which serves as her song of praise and thanksgiving.
