A secondary school teacher finds himself in police custody following allegations of sexual assault against two young women.

The suspect is currently under police custody as investigations into the matter unfold.

Emmanuel expressed the situation in his statement:

“On Saturday, a member of our team received a call from a young lady reporting that she had been raped by a man.

We took immediate action by locating her, conducting necessary tests, and subsequently accompanying her to the police station to file a report.

We later proceeded with the police to the accused teacher’s residence. Despite his reluctance to open the gate, we managed to gain access with the help of the homeowner’s brother.

In the compound, we heard the distress cries of a girl. With the support of the police, we apprehended Mr. Olaniran Lateef Adewale, a secondary school mathematics teacher at Ebenezer Grammar School in Iberekodo, Abeokuta.

He hails from Ipokia Local Government in Ogun State and is registered with OGNO.30650 of the Ogun State Teaching Service Commission.

The girl present with him also accused him of coercing her into sexual intercourse and threatening her life if she did not persuade her family to send him money.
