The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has successfully resolved a backlog of more than two million National Identification Number (NIN) modification requests, according to a statement from NIMC’s Acting Director-General, Engineer Abisoye Coker-Odusote.

This milestone highlights NIMC’s dedication to providing all Nigerians with access to secure and universally recognized identity documentation.

Coker-Odusote expressed appreciation for the patience exhibited by Nigerians during the process, acknowledging the challenges they faced.

She emphasized that NIMC’s teams have been diligently processing these backlogs and will continue working tirelessly to ensure that citizens have a more streamlined experience when obtaining their NINs.
