I get motivated listening to Afrobeat – DJ Khaled

American disc jockey and music executive DJ Khaled has shared that he’s recently been inspired by Afrobeats and feels a “spiritual connection” akin to what he experiences with dancehall.

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, the ‘Another One’ artist discussed his growing affinity for Afrobeats and revealed his intention to collaborate with notable Afrobeats stars.

Khaled announced that Afrobeats sensation Burna Boy will feature on his upcoming 14th studio album, titled ‘Til Next Time,’ set to be released in 2024.

He also expressed his desire to collaborate with Grammy-winning and Oscar-nominated Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems.

During the interview, DJ Khaled mentioned that his parents playfully suggest he should run for president, but he clarified that he has never been interested in politics.
