Media personality Ifedayo Olarinde, widely known as Daddy Freeze, has revealed his decision to stop attending church following an incident in which he was asked to sit at the back due to his divorce.
Daddy Freeze shared his experience on the Teju Babyface Deep Dive podcast.
According to Daddy Freeze, after his divorce in 2014, the pastor of his church instructed him to occupy a back seat during services because of his divorced status.

Prior to his divorce, he had been an active church worker involved in organizing church events.
However, his role was terminated after his divorce, leading to his expulsion from the front row.
Rather than complying with the pastor’s directive to sit at the back, Daddy Freeze decided to cease attending church services.
He explained that during this period, he began studying and researching religious scriptures, which led him to question many of the teachings and practices of Nigerian churches.

Daddy Freeze expressed his frustration with the way his divorce led to his exclusion from church activities, stating that it didn’t diminish his connection with God.
His decision to stay at home on Sundays allowed him to explore his beliefs and better understand the religious teachings he had encountered.
