A 34-year-old woman named Bidemi Damilola was found deceased in a shallow canal close to a piggery farm in Mabolufon, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.

She had gone missing, and her husband, Adekunle Fetiga, reported her disappearance to the Igbeba Police Division after she failed to return home.

Although the circumstances of her death remain unclear, a plastic bag containing an unidentified liquid substance was discovered at the scene.

Two pairs of slippers suspected to belong to the deceased were found near the canal. The police have initiated an investigation to determine the cause of her disappearance and subsequent demise.

The body has been transported to the State Hospital Mortuary in Ijebu-Ode for an autopsy as the investigation continues.
