Naira Marley and Sam Larry granted N20 million bail

A Magistrate’s Court in Yaba, Lagos State, has granted bail to the popular singer Azeez Fashola, known as Naira Marley, and Lagos socialite Balogun Eletu, also recognized as Sam Larry.

The bail amount was set at N20 million with three responsible sureties.

The legal proceedings stemmed from the arraignment of Naira Marley, Sam Larry, and two others on October 6, in connection with their alleged involvement in the circumstances surrounding the demise of the musician Ilerioluwa Aloba, widely known as Mohbad.

Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun issued the bail conditions, which included the surrender of their passports and a requirement to appear weekly at the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti.

“As part of the bail conditions, the defendants are to surrender their passports and make weekly appearances at the State Criminal Investigation Department,” ruled Olatunbosun.

Furthermore, she cautioned against any direct contact with her regarding the case, stating, “Any attempts to contact me directly would be recorded and potentially disclosed in open court proceedings.”
