An ex-convict was captured after reportedly breaking into a residence in Abuja with the intention of theft.

According to a Facebook post by Wilson on Monday, November 6, 2023, the suspect purportedly made an attempt to strangle a woman who caught him in the act.

The post read, “A thief was apprehended after breaking into a home in my neighborhood on Sunday.

He allegedly attempted to lure and strangle the woman who discovered him, but she raised the alarm.

The local residents pursued and detained him a few meters away. This individual has served two prison sentences and is still engaged in criminal activities, endangering people’s lives and property.

In case you encounter him on the streets again, he has been handed over to the police.

We made every effort to prevent him from being subjected to mob justice. Individuals like him should be incarcerated for the safety of our streets.”
