British police have initiated an investigation into reports of a 13-year-old girl allegedly being sexually assaulted during a Scottish Premiership match between Dundee and Rangers.
The reported incident is said to have occurred in the Bob Shankly stand, where away fans typically sit.
The football match took place on November 1 at Dundee’s Dens Park, also known as the Scot Foam Stadium.

The match had experienced a 45-minute delay as the Rangers team bus encountered traffic issues.
It was suspended for 18 minutes after traveling supporters set off numerous flares, triggering fire alarms within the stadium.
Scottish police have confirmed the launch of an inquiry into the alleged sexual assault.

A police spokesperson stated, “We are carrying out enquiries following an allegation of sexual assault involving a 13-year-old girl which happened at Dens Park in Dundee on Wednesday, November 1, 2023.”
Dundee FC has announced that the club is providing full support to the police force during its ongoing investigation.
