Comedian Ayo Makun, widely recognized as AY, has refuted allegations of portraying Seun Kuti’s daughter as a dog in one of his comedy skits.

The dispute between the two personalities emerged after Seun Kuti disclosed that he mocked AY due to the comedian’s portrayal of his daughter as a dog in a skit video that lampooned Kuti’s altercation with a police officer on a highway.

In a video message shared on his Instagram page, AY addressed the allegations made by Kuti and clarified the context of the controversial skit.

AY explained that the dog featured in the skit represented Guinness World Record holder Hilda Baci, who had been trending at the time for consuming dog meat.

AY stated, “I’m one human being who looked for a child for 13 years. I don’t think I will find myself in the position to mock a child and refer to that child as a dog.”

He emphasized that his comedy typically focuses on social commentary regarding trending issues and should not be taken literally.

Seun Kuti, however, rejected AY’s explanations, asserting that the timing and meaning of the skit video were clear to him.

He accused AY of making a “dick move” and was uninterested in the comedian’s clarifications. The dispute between the two continues to escalate on social media.
