Grammy-nominated afrobeat singer, Seun Kuti, has provided an explanation for why he taunted comedian Ayo Makun, popularly known as AY, following the fire that engulfed AY’s multimillion-naira mansion in Lagos.
Kuti revealed that he mocked AY due to AY’s previous humorous take on his own altercation with the police and prison ordeal, which included portraying Kuti’s daughter in an unfavorable light.
During a recent Instagram live session with his fans, Kuti defended his actions by strongly criticizing AY, referring to him as “unfunny” and a “dry goat with smelly breath.”

Kuti contended that within the entertainment industry, it is widely recognized that AY has bad breath. He stated, “They say I was laughing at Ayo Makun [AY] when his house burned.
If you follow me closely, people who follow me closely will attest that on the very day his house caught fire, I went live.”
He continued, “As the house was burning and they were trying to extinguish the fire, I was live. The only exception is when he [AY] portrayed my daughter as a dog in his lousy skit video, making jokes at my trials and tribulations.
He used my challenges to make fun. Not only that, he referred to my daughter as a dog in his worthless skit.”

Seun Kuti strongly expressed his disapproval, stating, “That unfunny guy with a bad breath. He has bad breath. Ask anyone in the industry, unless they intend to lie to you.
He portrayed my own daughter as a dog, the same man who was beaten by his wife at home. No woman in his life will ever respect him because I’m certain his children have witnessed him mistreating his wife.”
