Wike and Gov. Fubara meets at aso villa amid impeachment crisis

The Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, held a meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on October 31.

During the meeting, the two prominent politicians, who are members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), greeted each other with a handshake.

The meeting occurred in the wake of impeachment proceedings initiated against Governor Fubara by the Rivers State House of Assembly on October 30.

It is worth noting that Fubara and Wike, who previously served as the governor of Rivers State, were both present at the Villa for a session of the Nigeria Police Council.

This constitutional body is responsible for overseeing the organization and administration of the Nigeria Police Force and is chaired by President Bola Tinubu.
