Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha and a former contestant on Big Brother Naija, has responded to the reported attempt by members of the Rivers State House of Assembly to impeach Governor Sim Fubara.

An alleged impeachment move against Governor Fubara has stirred controversy and unrest in the state.

In a video message shared on her social media platform, Tacha called upon the members of the Rivers State House of Assembly to clarify the reasons for their attempt to impeach the governor.

She questioned the alleged offenses committed by the governor that would warrant impeachment.

Tacha, a Port Harcourt native, expressed her disappointment in the fact that while the governor was trying to establish his governance and the citizens were seeking to comprehend his policies, the state lawmakers were making plans to impeach him without apparent justification.

Tacha emphasized the need for transparency and accountability in the impeachment process and urged the people to support Governor Fubara, who had recently assumed office.

She also raised concerns about the reported use of tear gas and water against the sitting governor and urged the public to stand by their governor.
