Reps commends Tinubu’s support for Gbajabiamila

Olaide Akinremi, a House of Representatives member representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency, expressed his appreciation on Monday for President Bola Tinubu’s vote of confidence in his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila.

Addressing journalists in Abuja, Akinremi commended the well-considered appointment of Gbajabiamila as Chief of Staff by the President.

He emphasized the steadfast and unblemished track record of the former Speaker of the House of Representatives during his years in the National Assembly.

Akinremi stated, “Those of us who worked closely with the former Speaker of the House of Representatives during his years at the National Assembly know him to be steadfast, maintaining his integrity without compromise.”

He further addressed the ongoing rumors and propaganda surrounding Gbajabiamila’s appointment, attributing them to elements with interests that are contrary to the government’s decisions.

Akinremi noted that these rumors were attempts to undermine the Chief of Staff but were dispelled by the President’s statement.

Akinremi praised President Tinubu’s wisdom and his commitment to the nation’s welfare.

He urged individuals or groups planning protests to redirect their efforts toward more meaningful pursuits, highlighting that the government’s adversaries’ schemes had been exposed and would not be resurrected.

Reports had circulated about a purported plan by the President to remove his Chief of Staff.

However, during the Federal Executive Council meeting on Monday, President Tinubu reaffirmed his confidence in Gbajabiamila, calling for an end to any campaigns against him and acknowledging that mistakes can occur, as perfection is reserved for God Almighty.
