Nollywood actor John Okafor, widely known as Mr. Ibu, has successfully undergone five surgeries.

The legendary actor, who recently celebrated his 63rd birthday from a hospital bed, had initially appealed to the public for assistance in covering his medical expenses, citing a serious ailment that posed a threat to his leg.

In a recent update shared via his Instagram page, Mr. Ibu confirmed the success of the surgeries but disclosed that he is still in the process of recovery in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

He is awaiting stabilization to facilitate his travel abroad for advanced treatment.

Mr. Ibu expressed his profound gratitude to the general public for their generous donations and requested continued prayers and unwavering support.

The statement read in part, “So far, Daddy has gone through 5 successful surgeries, and he is still recovering in the ICU.

Daddy is immensely grateful, and we are thankful to the general public during this phase of our lives.

We appreciate all the donations made to this account, and as soon as Daddy is better, he will personally acknowledge all donations respectively!
