Fubara denies wrongdoing amidst impeachment proceedings

Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has refuted allegations that he has committed any offenses that would justify impeachment by the state House of Assembly.

He made this statement on Monday when addressing his supporters at the Assembly Complex. The House members, led by Speaker Martin Amaewhule, had convened to initiate the impeachment process.

Governor Fubara declared, “Let them come out and tell Rivers people the offense I have committed to warrant any impeachment.”
