The Supreme Court has rescheduled the hearing on the application submitted by the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) to unseat Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State to December 5, 2023.
Originally, the hearing was set to commence on October 31, 2023.
In 2020, APGA filed an application asserting that a fresh election should have taken place in Imo State after the Supreme Court invalidated the election of Emeka Ihedioha, the Peoples Democratic Party candidate.

According to APGA, the Supreme Court never ruled on the validity of Uzodinma’s candidacy, as it was not contested by Ihedioha and the PDP in the appeal marked SC/1462/2019.
Despite the application being filed three years ago, the Supreme Court scheduled its hearing for Tuesday.
However, on the day of the hearing, it was discovered that the case was not listed on the court’s cause list.
Court registrars indicated that the case had been postponed to December 5, without providing reasons for the delay.”
