Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State has established a seven-member investigative committee to scrutinize the operations of the state College of Education (Technical).
This move follows allegations of mismanagement and corrupt practices within the institute and its Governing Council.
The committee’s terms of reference, as disclosed in a statement from the governor’s media office, include examining allegations of financial mismanagement and corruption, particularly regarding the activities of Bluetag Technologies, a financial firm contracted to handle college fees, which is reportedly associated with an outstanding sum of over N84 million.
Additionally, the committee will investigate claims of irregular recruitment processes and subsequent increases in the college’s monthly subvention.
