The Supreme Court has issued a verdict stating that the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) failure to transmit election results on the INEC Result Viewing Portal (IReV) did not influence the outcome of the presidential election.
In the lead judgment delivered by Justice Okoro, it was emphasized that the malfunctioning of IReV did not halt the result collation process and, although it resulted in people being unable to view the results, this did not provide grounds for nullifying the election.

The judgment further declared that the IReV’s unavailability did not have any bearing on the election’s final results. This resolves the issue against the appellants.
