Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola, has openly acknowledged that their historic Treble achievement has taken a toll on everyone at the club, including himself.
Guardiola’s comments came after Manchester City secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Brighton, breaking a streak of two Premier League defeats.
Despite the victory, City’s performance against Roberto De Zerbi’s side was not at its fluent best, and Guardiola attributed this to a lingering impact from last season’s extraordinary success.

“The Treble had an influence on all of us, me included. So we need to be there, arriving in the final moments at the end of the season, being close to the opponents and trying to do it again,” Guardiola stated.
Guardiola emphasized the formidable challenge of winning four consecutive Premier League titles, highlighting that this feat has never been achieved.
Looking ahead, he stressed the importance of performing well in the Champions League and securing qualification for the next round.
