ADC and PDP supporters defect to AA in Kogi state

A considerable number of African Democratic Party (ADC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) supporters have defected to the Action Alliance (AA) in Kogi State.

These defectors hail from four Local Government Areas within the Central Senatorial District, including Adavi, Okehi, Ogori/Magongo, and Okene.

During the switch, leaders of the defectors explained their reasons for the move, emphasizing their desire for a leader with the people’s best interests at heart.

Hon. Ibrahim Omonesi, former Council Leader of Adavi Local Government, who previously belonged to the PDP, expressed his belief that AA’s manifesto holds the potential to alleviate poverty in the state.

Meanwhile, Hon. Fidelis Sadiq, a former PDP member, cited his positive experience with Braimoh as a decisive factor in his choice to align with AA, to realize his plans for the state.

Hon. Momoh Jimoh Obeito, who left the ADC, emphasized Otunba Braimoh’s strong candidacy for the upcoming Governorship election in Kogi State, making his move to AA a conscious effort to rescue the state from poverty.

Acting Chairman of AA, Deacon Fred Ambo, warmly welcomed the defectors and urged them to actively engage in grassroots campaigning and recruitment for the party.

The AA Governorship Candidate, Otunba Olayinka Braimoh, expressed his gratitude to the defectors for their wise decision and encouraged them to continue their efforts to attract more members to the party.

With the addition of these new supporters and other significant endorsements, Braimoh remains confident in the party’s prospects in the forthcoming election.

Braimoh further pledged to reduce the state’s reliance on federal allocations and harness its abundant resources for sustainable development.
