Tinubu appoints new CEOs for key information and national orientation agencies

President Bola Tinubu has made eight new appointments for Chief Executive Officer positions in various Parastatals and Agencies under the Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation, effective immediately.

The agencies affected include the National Orientation Agency, Nigerian Television Authority, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, National Broadcasting Commission, Voice of Nigeria, Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria, News Agency of Nigeria, and the Nigerian Press Council.

These appointments come following a closed-door meeting between the President and Information Minister, Mohammed Idris, at the State House in Abuja.

Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, announced the appointments in a statement titled ‘President Tinubu appoints new leadership across the information and national orientation sectors.’

The newly appointed CEOs are as follows: Mr. Lanre Issa-Onilu as Director-General of the NOA, Mr. Salihu Dembos as DG of NTA, Dr. Muhammed Bulama as DG FRCN (replacing Dr. Mansir Liman), Mr. Charles Ebuebu as Director-General of the NBC (replacing Balarabe Illelah), Mr. Jibrin Ndace as DG of the VON (replacing Osita Okechukwu), Dr. Lekan Fadolapo as Director-General of ARCON, Mr. Ali Ali as DG of NAN, and Mr. Dili Ezughah as Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Press Council.

President Tinubu charged these newly appointed leaders with the responsibility of innovating and creating new opportunities for Nigerians through effective reforms of these government institutions.

The goal is to unify Nigerians, reshape mindsets, and present the nation to the world effectively.
