Kippa Announces Discontinuation of Offline Payment Solution, KippaPay, and Staff Layoffs Kippa, a Nigerian fintech company, has revealed its decision to terminate its offline payment service, KippaPay.
This payment solution allowed users to send and receive payments from customers and conduct extended payment transactions.
As a result of discontinuing this product, the firm will be parting ways with the team responsible for its development.

While the exact number of staff affected was not disclosed, the company confirmed that the core members of the KippaPay team would be departing by December.
Kennedy Ekezie, the Founder and CEO of Kippa, cited profitability concerns as the driving force behind the closure of the product.
He praised the team for their remarkable efforts and the impact KippaPay had on their merchants.
Starting November 15th, KippaPay will no longer be available for use by merchants. In the coming weeks, support will be provided to assist merchants and partners with the transition off the product and address any pending settlements.
