U.S. President Joe Biden has landed in Israel with an urgent mission to prevent the ongoing conflict with Hamas from escalating into a broader war, particularly in the aftermath of a devastating explosion at a Gaza hospital that claimed the lives of 500 people.
Upon his arrival at Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv, President Biden was welcomed by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The situation in the region has raised concerns that the conflict is spiraling out of control, with the recent catastrophic blast at the hospital exacerbating tensions.
The al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza City was hit by a massive explosion while it was being used as a refuge for thousands of civilians seeking shelter from relentless Israeli airstrikes.
