The Lagos State Police Command has taken singer Naira Marley into custody as part of an investigation into the controversial death of his former record label signee, Mohbad.

The police spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the singer’s detention, stating that Naira Marley is being interrogated as part of the ongoing investigation.

Naira Marley had previously announced his return to Lagos to assist authorities in uncovering the truth and ensuring justice in the case.

Mohbad passed away on September 12 at the age of 27, leading to investigations and autopsy procedures by the police.

The nurse who administered an injection to the deceased has also been arrested, and a coroner’s inquest into the death is ongoing at the Lagos State Magistrate’s Court in Ikorodu.
