Kanayo O. Kanayo, the famous Nollywood actor, has firmly declared that he will never engage in real-life money rituals, despite his fame for portraying occultic roles in movies.
In an interview with Afia TV, the renowned actor emphasized that he has never been involved in money rituals and firmly opposes them, describing them as “not good.”
Kanayo revealed that he acquired the nickname “Nnanyi Sacrifice” during billionaire businessman Obi Cubana’s mother’s funeral, but he immediately rejected it. However, the label stuck despite his disapproval.
The actor, who is also a lawyer, expressed indifference to the names people call him, as long as he receives payment for his work.
He stated, “Money ritual is not good and will never be good. I will never be part of it and have never been part of it. When you hear somebody call me ‘Nnanyi Sacrifice,’ it was just the name somebody called me during Obi Cubana’s mother’s burial.”
Kanayo continued, “One thing about names is that immediately you start rejecting it, it sticks. Call me any name you like, but pay me my cheque. If we listen to the message, we will change the society more. I am just a vessel.”
