British crocodile expert, Adam Britton, 51, has pleaded guilty to a shocking series of crimes involving the abuse and torture of animals. Britton, who previously worked with institutions like the BBC and National Geographic, admitted to luring pet owners into giving him custody of their dogs and then subjecting them to horrifying acts of cruelty.
The academic at Charles Darwin University in northern Australia also confessed to sexually abusing his own pets, Swiss Shepherds named Ursa and Bolt, for nearly a decade.
Britton even filmed these heinous acts in a room he referred to as his ‘torture room’ and posted the disturbing material online.

He pleaded guilty to 56 counts of animal cruelty and four counts of accessing and transmitting child abuse material.
The case is marked by its extreme cruelty, prompting the court to clear the room before revealing the gruesome details, and Chief Justice Michael Grant described the acts as ‘grotesque and perverse acts of cruelty.’
Britton, who had hosted David Attenborough in the past, is scheduled for sentencing submissions on December 13.
