Late singer and rapper, Ilerioluwa Olademeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has set a groundbreaking record with his extended play (EP) titled ‘Blessed.’

This EP has become the first to claim the number one spot on the weekly albums chart of Spotify Nigeria.

The talented ‘Imole’ artist achieved this significant milestone even after his untimely demise on September 12, 2023. Since his passing, Mohbad’s singles and projects have continued to dominate the music streaming landscape in Nigeria.

Several of his tracks, including ‘Peace,’ ‘Feel Good,’ ‘Ask About Me,’ and ‘Beast and Peace,’ have secured positions in the top 10 songs on Apple Music Nigeria. Notably, his song ‘Ask About Me’ soared to the number one spot on the Spotify Nigeria singles chart.

‘Blessed,’ his EP, also made its mark internationally by entering the top 20 on the UK Apple Music albums chart.
