Tragic events unfolded when Asemota John Etinosa, a 26-year-old man, was reportedly beaten to death by his friends over a sum of $46,000. His untimely demise occurred on Sunday, September 17.

According to his sister, the ordeal began when John encountered difficulties while attempting to withdraw his money.

Precious Iyoha, also known as Skinny, one of his friends, allegedly invited him to his residence on September 15, promising assistance in recovering the funds.

John, accompanied by his brother, visited Skinny’s house, where they stayed with three other individuals until Sunday morning.

During this time, Skinny and the others claimed to have transferred John’s money to his brother. However, John’s brother denied receiving any money.

Skinny and his associates insisted they had already given the money to John’s brother. Subsequently, they allegedly tied up both John and his brother and subjected them to a severe beating from 1 am to 6 am on Sunday, September 17.

Realizing that John was struggling to breathe, they eventually released him. John’s brother, in a desperate attempt to save him, transported him to two different hospitals, but both facilities rejected him. A third hospital declared him dead.

The grieving sister of the deceased is now calling for justice, emphasizing that her brother should not have lost his life while trying to access his own money.
