26 year old woman declared missing in Abuja found dead

Blessing Karami, a 26-year-old student at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), who had been declared missing in Abuja, has tragically been discovered dead.

She was reported missing after leaving her workplace in Garki, Abuja, on September 11, 2023.

Genesis Moses Karami, the deceased’s elder brother, who had traveled from Kaduna to lead the search efforts, sadly confirmed that her decomposing body was found in the Karmo district of the Federal Capital Territory.

Local reports indicate that the police had taken Blessing’s boyfriend, Aminu, into custody for questioning regarding her disappearance.

Genesis Karami shared the harrowing experience of receiving a strange call with details about his sister’s body, only to discover it was a false lead.

He stated, “The caller said he saw a female body in Idu, so we asked him to describe what she was wearing, and he told us exactly what we were told my sister wore to the office the day she went missing.”

Frustrated with their attempts to reach the District Police Officer (DPO), Karami and a group of policemen went to the police station in Karmo.

However, the caller continued to change locations, making it impossible to locate the body. On September 20, Karami sadly confirmed his sister’s death, revealing that her decomposed body was discovered in the Karmo bush.

Due to the advanced state of decomposition, the family arranged for the environmental authorities to assist in the body’s removal and burial.

Friends, family, and acquaintances have taken to social media to express their condolences and mourn the loss of Blessing Karami.
