Ondo youths march in protest, demanding justice for MohBad’s death

In a show of unity and determination, hundreds of youths in Akure, the capital of Ondo State, organized a protest to demand justice for the late Nigerian artist, Promise Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as MohBad-Imole.

Clad in black attire, these concerned youths and fans of the deceased artist took to the major roads in the city to draw attention to the circumstances surrounding MohBad’s tragic death and to seek justice.

The protest began at the prominent NEPA roundabout and continued through Oba Adesida Road-Cathedral intersection before proceeding along the Arakale route.

As the demonstration gained momentum, more and more youths joined the cause, chanting and calling for justice.

Protesters utilized various social media platforms to amplify their grievances, using hashtags such as #JusticeForMohBad.

MohBad, a rising star in the Nigerian music industry, passed away approximately a week ago, shortly after a performance in Ikorodu.

His untimely demise sent shockwaves across the nation, leaving fans and fellow artists deeply saddened and prompting suspicions of foul play.

Yemi Afolabi, one of the protesters, expressed their collective grief, emphasizing MohBad’s promising future and the need for answers surrounding his death.

Afolabi pointed out that MohBad had faced harassment and threats, even documenting these incidents in a petition to the police. However, no action was taken until his tragic demise.

The protesters called on law enforcement agencies to expedite the investigation into MohBad’s death and ensure that those responsible are held accountable.

They stressed the importance of a transparent and impartial inquiry, free from undue influence or cover-ups.
