Oluwo of Iwo: Mohbad’s death a colossal loss to the world

The Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the musician known as Mohbad, also known as Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba.

He described the loss as significant not only to Yorubaland, Nigeria, but to the entire world.

The monarch has urged the government to conduct a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the singer’s untimely demise.

In a statement issued through his spokesperson, Alli Ibraheem, Oba Akanbi also made an appeal to the protesting youth to maintain a civil and peaceful approach.

He stated, “I extend my condolences to his immediate family and the entertainment industry, and I implore the passionate fans of Mohbad to refrain from taking to the streets. The protests could potentially be exploited by miscreants if not properly managed.”

“Stakeholders are actively pursuing justice for Mohbad, and it is crucial that the youth cooperate with the government by maintaining a peaceful demeanor,” he added. “Once again, may the soul of the departed Mohbad rest in peace.”
