The Management of Quits Aviation has refuted allegations of tampering with the engine of the Bombardier Challenger 605 aircraft, owned by Deji Adeleke, the elder brother of Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the management emphasized that the aircraft was under 24-hour security surveillance, and CCTV footage revealed no evidence of tampering.
Earlier reports had indicated that an aircraft carrying Governor Ademola Adeleke and his aides nearly crashed on September 5 while attempting to take off from Lagos for a journey to Abuja.
The spokesperson for the Osun State Governor, Olawale Rasheed, had suggested the possibility of sabotage in the engine of the aircraft.
However, Quits Aviation, a reputable aviation entity, clarified that their role was to provide secured parking space for the aircraft while the owner/operator was responsible for technical procedures, as per the Aircraft Maintenance Manuals.

The company stated that the aircraft was under constant security surveillance, and the CCTV footage showed no tampering or security breaches.
The management confirmed that on the day of the flight, the aircraft was towed to a different location for flight preparation procedures but emphasized that besides the towing movement, there was no interference with the airframe or engines.
Quits Aviation expressed regret over the incident and pledged full cooperation with relevant authorities in their investigation.
The company recommended strict compliance with Aircraft Maintenance Manual Procedures, including covering open orifices and engines to prevent Foreign Object Damage or infestation, to enhance safety.
