The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State has taken a firm stance against the alleged assault on the state Commissioner for Woman Affairs and Social Development, Mrs. Juliana Osadahun, by the party’s ward chairman in Akoko North-West Local Government Area, Mr. Olumide Awolumate.
A video capturing the altercation, which occurred during palliatives distribution in Arigidi Akoko, has caused outrage.

The state APC chairman, Mr. Ade Adetimehin, expressed strong disapproval of the incident and announced plans to address the matter promptly, with the ward chairman facing suspension for his involvement in the public altercation.
The Deputy Majority Leader of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Princess Oluwatosin Ajirotutu, condemned the assault and called for the immediate arrest and prosecution of Mr. Awolumate, emphasizing the need to protect women from such acts of violence.
