Sam Larry denies involvement in Mohbad’s death

Socialite Samson Erinfolami Balogun, known as Sam Larry, has vehemently denied any involvement in the death of singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad.

This denial follows a resurgence of an old video depicting an alleged assault on Mohbad during a video shoot, with Sam Larry reportedly leading the group responsible.

A petition filed by the late singer, seeking police protection from Sam Larry and others, has also surfaced online.

In a video circulating on social media, Sam Larry, who had remained silent regarding the controversy since Mohbad’s passing, expressed his love for the late singer and emphasized their close relationship, likening him to a brother.

Speaking in Yoruba, Sam Larry stated, “I want to state that I had nothing to do with Mohbad’s death. He was my brother, and when he was in Marlian records, he knew I loved him. Even his wife, everybody knows that I love him. Having a fight does not mean that I want him dead. I cannot kill Mohbad. The videos going viral are of old events of things that happened last year. Zlatan is my witness. Call Zlatan and ask him.”

The Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, had earlier announced that the police would conduct a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death.
