On Air Personality (OAP) Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, popularly known as Nedu Wazobia, has expressed his views on the Nigerian music industry in the wake of the sudden passing of the well-known Nigerian singer Mohbad at the age of 27.
Nedu described the Nigerian music industry as a rather obscure and unpredictable place. Having been a part of the industry for over 13 years, he highlighted the intense desire of many individuals to become music artists and attain fame and wealth.
However, Nedu emphasized that fame in the industry often has a short lifespan, typically not exceeding two years.
He acknowledged that some artists with exceptional talent and grace can have enduring careers that span up to 20 years, earning them the title of legends.
He also remarked on the transient nature of popularity and how people often celebrate artists only when they are at their peak.
