Nigerian music sensation Davido, during his performance at the 2023 Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) Awards, shared his personal preference for Cristiano Ronaldo over Lionel Messi, naming Ronaldo as the greatest footballer of all time in his view.

While acknowledging his admiration for both football icons, Davido expressed his particular fondness for Ronaldo, citing the Portuguese superstar’s exceptional discipline as a key factor.

He highlighted that Ronaldo’s outstanding success, combined with his unwavering commitment to self-discipline, greatly impressed him.

In his own words, Davido stated, “Cristiano for me, you know, what outcomes, very, very disciplined.

I am a very, very disciplined person, you know, and to have that kind of success and to be so disciplined at the same time is something I’ve always admired about him. I like both of them.

But, I personally, I’m a Ronaldo guy.”

Lionel Messi is currently the frontrunner for the Ballon d’Or award, aiming to secure an unprecedented eighth win, while Cristiano Ronaldo, a seven-time winner himself, did not make the 30-man shortlist for the 2023 edition of the prestigious accolade.
