Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, took part in a historic moment as he became one of the initial passengers to embark on a journey using the newly inaugurated Lagos Blue Line railway system on Monday.
The governor’s journey began at the Marina terminal, and his destination was Mile 2.

This significant event followed the announcement made by Mrs. Abimbola Akinajo, the Managing Director of the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority, who revealed on Thursday that the Lagos Blue Line Rail would commence its commercial operations on Monday, September 4.
Governor Sanwo-Olu’s participation in the inaugural train ride marked a symbolic start to this new phase in Lagos’ transportation infrastructure.
