The agency’s chairman, Mr. Uche Anya, visited the collapse site and revealed that the structure had originally been approved for animal husbandry but had been illegally converted into residential use.

Anya emphasized the extreme danger of the collapsed building, which was unsuitable for human habitation.

He pointed out that the structure contained 44 rooms and was occupied by over 200 people, despite being initially designated for animal husbandry and poultry.

The agency chairman pledged to continue raising awareness among the public about the importance of living in safe and suitable environments to prevent future incidents.
