Timi Frank calls on FBI to investigate Chicago state university’s withholding of Tinubu’s academic records

Timi Frank, former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has urged the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) to promptly investigate Chicago State University for withholding President Bola Tinubu’s academic records.

Frank’s statement, issued on Friday, emphasized the importance of this inquiry to ascertain the legitimacy of the certificates awarded to American graduates of the University.

Frank underscored that Tinubu’s academic records are public documents since Chicago State University is a publicly-funded academic institution.

He pointed out that the falsified certificate linked to Tinubu is available on the University’s website, which is notorious for hosting fake certificates, including a poor imitation of Tinubu’s genuine records.

Given Tinubu’s role as a public servant, Frank argued that he should be transparent and accountable to Nigerians, either by proving the authenticity of his academic records or by allowing the University to release them.

Frank highlighted the irony that similar practices occur both in the United States and Nigeria, and thus urged the US authorities to urgently obtain the required records.

He further appealed to a judge in the State of Chicago court to order the University to release the documents as would be done in the case of a US citizen seeking similar information.
