Dangote Group has attained the title of Nigeria’s Most Valuable Brand, achieving a robust score of 86.2% on the brand strength measurement index during the comprehensive 2023 top brand perception assessment conducted by Top 50 Brands Nigeria.
The organization revealed its findings during a media briefing in Lagos, underlining that Dangote’s consistent excellence has further solidified its status as a prominent brand in the nation.
MTN closely followed as a strong contender, securing the second position with an 85 BSM index score.

Airtel Nigeria and Globacom secured the third and fourth spots this year, with BSM index scores of 77.9 and 77 respectively.
The top 10 brands list also includes Access Bank, Zenith Bank, Coca-Cola, GTCO, First Bank, and BUA Group. BUA Group marked its debut in the top 10, achieving a BSM Index of 70.8.
Taiwo Oluboyede, CEO of TOP 50 BRANDS NIGERIA, commented on this year’s evaluation, likening a brand to a person with distinct traits that define their character to the audience.
He emphasized that the perception of a brand is shaped by the experiences people have with it, which can range from positive to negative, similar to how opinions about a person can evolve over time.
