The Spartanburg Police Department in North Carolina has apprehended Ny’keira Ty’shae Allen, a 21-year-old woman, and her boyfriend, Tereike Da’shaun Woods, following allegations of fatally stabbing her uncle.
The incident unfolded on Fisher Avenue at approximately 1:20 a.m. on August 13, 2023, prompting a swift police response.
According to a statement issued by the police on August 24, witnesses reported a disturbance involving multiple stabbings resulting from an altercation.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered a man, identified as James Anderson, lying on the ground with stab wounds.
Despite being rushed to the hospital, Anderson succumbed to his injuries.
Eyewitnesses recounted that the initial dispute erupted between Allen and her uncle, Anderson. Allen then contacted her boyfriend, Woods, who joined the confrontation.

Regrettably, the altercation escalated, culminating in Anderson being fatally stabbed.
The victim, James Anderson, 32, hailing from Spartanburg, was identified by the Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office.
The incident’s timeline revealed that officers found Anderson across the street from 106 Fisher Avenue, and immediate medical assistance was provided as he struggled to breathe.
Tragically, Anderson’s injuries proved fatal, leading to his demise in the hospital.
On August 23, 2023, both Ny’keira Ty’shae Allen and Tereike Da’shaun Woods were taken into custody for their roles in the incident.
Allen, born on January 29, 2002, and residing at 106 Fisher Avenue, Spartanburg, faces charges of Murder and Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime.
Likewise, Woods, born on September 17, 1997, from Greenville, South Carolina, has been arrested and charged with Murder as well.
