A man named Onyebuchi Remi Enusoi was apprehended on allegations of defrauding a Point of Sale (PoS) operator of N100,000 in Kwale, Delta State.
The incident was shared by Odubenu Constance Anumati through a Facebook post on August 24, 2023. Anumati recounted that the suspect was captured while seemingly attempting to escape the town.
According to the account, Enusoi approached the PoS operator, Sophia, with the pretext of depositing N100,000 into two separate accounts, effectively totaling N200,000.

He purportedly carried the money in a black briefcase and was prepared to pay the associated transfer fees. Once the initial transfer was executed, Sophia requested the N100,000 alongside the fees.
At that very instant, the suspect fled the scene, leaving behind his briefcase and flip-flop sandals.
Upon inspecting the case, Sophia discovered a mere stone within it. Anumati, who happened upon the distressed PoS operator, offered assistance and gathered her description of the incident.
He then engaged in tracking down the alleged fraudster. Through a series of phone calls and the assistance of another individual, they identified the suspect as ONYEBUCHI REMI ENUSOI, a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses residing in Kwale, Delta State.
Anumati located Enusoi at a phone shop, apparently ready to leave Kwale. With the help of others, he confronted the suspect and accompanied him to Zenith Bank, where he obtained Enusoi’s BVN (Bank Verification Number).
Subsequently, they ensured the money was returned to its rightful owner, and the suspect was handed over to the police.

Anumati speculated that Enusoi might have used charms or talismans to facilitate the deception.
The recovery of the funds within a relatively short time led to jubilation among the market women, who showered Anumati with congratulations.
The incident serves as a reminder to exercise caution and vigilance in financial transactions and interactions with strangers.
