Asake is bigger than all Ghanaian artistes – Shatta Wale

Ghanaian dancehall sensation, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr., professionally known as Shatta Wale, has made a bold declaration asserting that no Ghanaian artist currently holds the same level of fame and prominence as Nigerian singer Asake.

The statement was made during a Twitter discussion hosted by Ghanaian media personality Serwaa on a Wednesday.

Shatta Wale candidly expressed that Asake’s accomplishments surpass those of any Ghanaian artist, himself included.

He emphasized the remarkable achievements of Asake in the music industry, highlighting that no artist in Ghana has attained the same level of success.

Responding to a point raised by the host, Shatta Wale clarified that his self-proclaimed status as the wealthiest Ghanaian artist doesn’t necessitate him reaching Asake’s level of achievement.

He illustrated this by referencing the example of an obscure Spanish artist somewhere who could be financially prosperous without global recognition.
