The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) branch in Aba has clarified that Ifunanya Excel Grant, also known as “Baddest Lawyer” on social media, is not a member of their association.

This statement was made in response to claims that she was associated with their branch.

The chairman of the NBA Aba Branch, Innocent O. Egwu, and the secretary, Mazi K.C. Okoro, signed the statement to make this clear.

They emphasized that Ifunanya Excel Grant is not recognized by their branch and is not part of their legal community.

While they support the efforts to uphold the standards of the legal profession, they also highlighted the importance of ensuring that innocent and law-abiding lawyers are not mistakenly connected to any negative conduct.

The statement was issued after reports suggested her membership with the Aba branch, especially in light of her controversial social media behavior involving substance abuse and explicit content.
