Femi Adebayo takes action against movie piracy, arrests suspect for ‘Jagun Jagun’ film

Nollywood actor Femi Adebayo has taken decisive action against piracy by apprehending an individual involved in pirating his newly released Yoruba movie, ‘Jagun-Jagun’.

Sharing images of the arrest on his official Instagram page, Adebayo emphasized the severity of piracy as a criminal act that jeopardizes the essence of the creative industry.

He noted that other individuals connected to the act have also been arrested.

In his post, Adebayo stated, “Piracy is a criminal act that threatens the very essence of our creative industry. Persons have already begun pirating this labour of love.

Some have been apprehended like in the photo, and we are relentlessly pursuing others and bringing them to book.

Our search includes persons downloading the movie from unauthorized sites, including telegram groups.”

This proactive approach by Adebayo reflects the ongoing battle against movie piracy in the entertainment sector.

Notably, Adebayo had previously shared in an interview that he had sold some of his properties to finance the creation of ‘Jagun-Jagun’, highlighting its significance as a multi-million Naira project.
