Senator George Akume’s wife, Chief Regina Akume, conveyed her husband’s decision to forgive former Benue State governor Samuel Ortom during a reception for the newly appointed minister from Benue in Abuja.

Akume and Ortom had previously been allies in Ortom’s political journey, but they parted ways due to irreconcilable differences when Ortom switched from the APC to the PDP.

Despite this, Akume’s wife highlighted her husband’s forgiving nature and compassion, describing him as someone with deep love for the people of Benue.

She emphasized that despite the past differences, her husband had chosen to forgive Ortom.

She also expressed joy at Ortom’s presence at the event and expressed disappointment over the absence of the current governor, thanking party members for their support.
