Two arrested for stealing turkey, rice, palm oil, and foodstuffs in Ogun

Two individuals in Ogun State have been apprehended on allegations of stealing a live turkey, half a bag of rice, palm oil, noodles, and various other food items.

The Ogun State Police Command and the So-Safe Corps collaborated to make the arrests in the Oke-Ejigbo area of Abeokuta, the state capital.

The suspects, identified as Kolawole Shobowale and Moruf Soyoye, are reported to have engaged in a series of shop and house break-ins in the Oke-Ejigbo vicinity.

The police spokesperson for Ogun State, Omolola Odutola, disclosed that the arrests took place around 6:30 am following intelligence shared by Commander Lawal Mudashiru of the So-Safe Corps.

The So-Safe Corps officer noticed a three-member gang, and after trailing them to their residences, managed to arrest two suspects, while one managed to escape.

One of the apprehended suspects was found carrying a live turkey with a blood-stained leg.

The police confirmed that the suspects have confessed to their involvement in the crimes.
