Osun State Government has announced that it will distribute 14,516 bags of 50kg rice and 3,200 metric tons of maize to residents as part of the Federal Government’s palliative measures to mitigate the impact of the petrol subsidy removal in the state.
The State Commissioner for Information and Public Engagement, Mr. Kolapo Alimi, conveyed this information in a statement, emphasizing the government’s commitment to transparently distributing the food items to the citizens.

Alimi mentioned that a second batch of the palliative is anticipated, consisting of 600 bags of rice and maize.
He assured that once the state receives the complete shipment of items, the distribution process will commence.
The government aims to ensure complete delivery before initiating the distribution, prioritizing transparency and accountability in the fair distribution of food supplies to the people.
